About me

Audrey Hansen, Ph.D.

I have been editing academic writing for over a decade while I was earning my M.A. in Spanish (University of New Hampshire) and my Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures, Spanish (University of Michigan–Ann Arbor). Since 2022, I have been the Production Editor of the bilingual, open-access, peer-reviewed journal A Contracorriente: una revista de estudios latinoamericanos. I have evaluated the work of undergraduate students while teaching Spanish literature and film courses.

I’ve also been in your shoes, feeling the pressure to write and publish. The anxiety created by this pressure is powerful, but you don’t have to face it alone. As your editor, I want to eliminate some of that stress by championing your ideas, maintaining your voice, and helping you take your writing to the next level so you can get your work out there.
